Equine-assisted learning activities help children develop valuable life skills while having fun & making friends! This camp runs Monday, May 29th - Friday, June 2nd Drop-off starts at 10 AM, Pick-up by 6 PM *early drop-off & late pick-up options available Activities Include: Daily horse care: feeding, watering, cleaning, grooming Horse training & lessons: cooperative care & life skills, confidence building, basic handling, riding foundations, basic riding Educational activities, games, & projects: constructing enrichment activities for horses, playing horse-themed games, horse-themed arts & crafts, and more! SKE focuses on Gentle Horsemanship Methods. We use positive reinforcement training, meaning we emphasize reward-based learning and autonomy, choice, & consent, creating a willing equine partner. At SKE, you won't find: ❌ Whips, Spurs, Bits, Chains ❌ Yelling, Force, Fear, Stress At SKE, you will find: ✔️ Happy Horses ✔️ Happy Kiddos At SKE, we believe: 🐎 Horses are not sporting equipment 🐎 Riding is a privilege, not a right 🐎 Horsemanship & riding should be fun for the horse 🐎 Horses deserve to have their needs met first, then be invited to interact, perform, and/or compete 🐎 Horses have the right to say "no" 🐎 These rules apply to people, too!
